Where the money actually goes.

When you miss a check-in, your card is charged the pledge you set: your charity payment — 85% of it — is donated in full to Médecins Sans Frontières (UK), currently our only charity partner, and the remaining 15% is Pledgd's separate platform fee. This page explains the arrangement behind that promise and how we report on it.

85% of every missed pledge is donated to the charity you chose, currently Médecins Sans Frontières (UK), registered charity no. 1026588. The other 15% is Pledgd's separate platform fee.

The arrangement
PLEDGD LTD (England & Wales, company № 16989178) is a commercial participator for Médecins Sans Frontières (UK), charity № 1026588, under a written fundraising agreement. The "Proudly supporting" logo is used with MSF's permission. When a member sets a commitment in-app, the exact amount reaching MSF, and Pledgd's separate platform fee, is shown before they confirm; funds are released to MSF in regular disbursements. Pledgd follows the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice. To raise a concern about our fundraising, use our complaints procedure.

Gift Aid does not apply. You pay Pledgd for its service, and Pledgd gives 85% of each missed-pledge charge to Médecins Sans Frontières (UK) as a commercial participator, so the payment is not a personal gift from you to the charity. MSF UK cannot claim Gift Aid on it, and you cannot claim tax relief on it.
